DOL Records re-issue of this sought after novelty album, originally released in 1966. During the height of the Batman & Robin's popularity, was initially credited to the The Sensational Guitars of Dan and Dale. Features 'The Batman Theme Song', 'The Penguin Chase', and 'The Batcave'. Based on the popular TV show of that era. However, the interesting thing about this album, and what makes it an absolute cult item, are the musicians behind it all. It was basically a joint collaboration between Sun Ra’s Arkestra and Al Kooper's Blues Project . (One of the first Psychedelic Rock bands). Entitled Sun Ra & The Blues Project play 'Batman and Robin'. Features musicians Marshall Allen, Andy Kulberg, Pat Patrick, Roy Blumenfeld, Danny Kalb, Steve Katz, Al Kooper, Sun Ra & John Gilmore.
