" It leads the hearer into the frenetic, wildly whirling atmosphere of Ma ilmanlopun maanitus my fifth doctoral concert: a colourful dance party that shed light on the life of the parish municipality of Suistamo, beyond the (current) Russian border, and created the Karelian shindig of the future. One of the influences on this album have been the accordion posses I ve been part of along the way: with them, I have journeyed from the bushes of Suistamo via the smoke sauna of Kinnermäki to the clubs of Petrozavodsk."
