"A fair chunk of the material on this doesn't appear to actually be by Martin Hannett and chums at all, in fact coming from a mid 70s library LP put out by De Wolfe - 'Sounds Unusual' by Derek Scott. (We're talking about the uncharacteristic, jaunty moogy sounding tracks here. There are several others that sound much like you'd expect from listening to say, The Invisible Girls release from a year or so back, so I’m not questioning their provenance). I can only assume the tracks were found on tapes in Martin's archive, and have been belatedly assumed to be his work." Whatever about that, this is still a fascinating collection for Hannett lovers.
