First time on CD, digitally remastered. Originally a member of a later incarnation of The Chantels, Yvonne Fair spent time in the early '60s as member of The James Brown Revue, recording several Brown-produced singles. Spending years on the road with Chuck Jackson, it was this R&B legend who brought her to Motown around 1969. After one single featuring Marvin Gaye, it took Norman Whitfield's creative genius to bring out the best in Ms. Fair with a series of classic singles beginning in early 1974. Her revival of the Motown standard It Should Have Been Me earned her a Top 5 pop hit in the UK and this album was also a big seller.
